VDA 19.1 regulation sets out the conditions for the application and documentation of the methods for determining the pollution of the parts on which the functionality of the vehicle depends by solid particles (cleanliness testing).
Cleanliness testing serves as the basis for assessing technical cleanliness e.g. at:
- Sampling and assessment of parts
- Incoming and final control
- Quality control or monitoring of production processes that are related to cleanliness (e.g. cleaning, surface treatment, assembly, …)
