DEV-02 International Material Data System: Foundation- version 10

Having the environment protection and respect of national and international organizations as  one of the main objectives, each supplier  has to track and follow up the substances of newly designed or modified parts impacting the materials. At least 85% of vehicle weight should come from recyclable and 95% from renewable sources.

IMDS – International Material Data System – is using Internet technologies that allow automotive OEMs and suppliers standardize the  data transfer in the whole Supply Chain.

The licensed training module of Hewlett Packard „IMDS – Foundation“ is aimed at beginners and standard users of IMDS that declare/approve  the materials used in their products.

Your needs are

  • Understand the meaning, use and management of IMDS

  • Understand the meaning of IMDS within the project in the automotive
    industry (project phases, customer release, …)

  • Correctly fill in the Material Data Sheets (MDS), understand the tree
    structure MDS, create MDS modules

  • Understand the specific customer requirements of OEMs on
    IMDS (Toyota, FIAT, GM, Renault, Nissan, etc.)
