A complex education program that will prepare the trainees (also newcomers) to be Logistics Specialist.

Module I:

Automotive Logistics Introduction - 0,5 day

  • Logistics in a production plant – mission and objectives

  • Basic logistics terms and rules (30 main terms)

  • INCOTERM 2010 – detailed explanation of the main terms for the automotive industry (FCA, ExW, DAP) + overview of all others

  • Standard logistics positions and responsibilities

  • Logistics as a part of company organizational structure

Project logistics - 0,75 day

  • Logistics definition for a new project

  • Logistics cost calculation in project RFQ phase

  • Investment planning based on logistics cost calculation

  • WBS and standard logistics tasks on an automotive project

  • Standard project phases/milestones in the automotive industry

  • Project team and communication over the project, cooperation of logistics with Project Team Members

  • Project risk analysis for logistics

  • Project Master Schedule (logistics tasks planning)

  • Project ramp-up curve

  • Project logistics handover to serial production (Check-list)

  • Logistics and product/process modification management  

Production planning - 0,75 day

  • Customer forecasts and orders

  • Sub-supplier logistics KPIs – definition and evaluation

  • Purchased parts transport

  • Creation of logistics claims and validation of 8D reports

Internal logistics – 0,5 day

  • Process Flow Chart

  • Warehouse management – static & dynamic warehouse

  • Push/Pull system of parts delivery to production, FIFO

  • Process of inventory planning and execution

  • Traceability requirements

  • Parts blocking due to quality issues and impact on logistics

Customer logistics – 0,5 day

  • OEMs specific requirements on logistics

  • Customer orders/forecasts, flexibility, contractual capacity

  • Customer logistics KPIs – definition & follow-up

  • Delivery of Spare Parts

Expedition and transport (focus on FCA supplier) – 0,5 day

  • Process of expedition preparation and standardization

  • Preparation of parts and documents for expedition

  • Customer labels printing and packaging identification

  • Loading and ASN sending rules

  • Milk-runs calculations for a new flow

Module III:

Packaging - 1 day

  • Types of packaging in the automotive industry

  • Calculation of packaging need for a new project

  • Project specific packaging development

  • Packaging follow up in serial production phase

  • Packaging problem solving (dirty/damaged packaging, missing packaging, …)

  • Use of alternative packaging – general rules

  • Packaging inventory – process approach and rules

Logistics processes optimization – 0,5 day

  • Standard and special logistics cost

  • Pareto analysis of logistics cost

  • MMOG/LE V4 vs. IATF 16 949

  • Value Stream Mapping

  • Ergonomics of logistics operations (overview)

  • Logistics FMEA

  • Logistics back-up plans

Problem solving tools and methods for logistics - 0,25 day

  • Logistics and daily production meetings

  • Overview of main problem solving tools and methods

  • Logistics Lessons Learned management

Final exam - 0,25 day

To get the Training certificate the trainee must pass the final exam, 65% of the final score being the minimum.

Duration: 6 days (3 modules, each of them takes 2 days)

Price:
In-House module: 890 EUR/day (member), 975 EUR/day (non-member) + travel expenses for a group up to 10 people

Open module:  220 EUR/day (member), 250 EUR/day (non-member). In case of 2 or more participants from the same plant we offer   10% discount on the second and all other participants. Refreshment and lunch are included in the training price.
